Middle, high school comes and goes

Moving out and moving in

Tissues in the garbage bin

Study hall and stomach flu

Feeling lonely, feeling blue

Meet new people here and there

Learn to sing and what to wear

Nothing changed but age and friends

Memory that never ends

Thinking while dancing gets your thoughts mixed up

Breathe in

Scream out

Don’t you stop

Till the lights go out

One step forward

Two jumps back

It’s hard to reach

Devour my shoe

Pillow fight

Blanket war

That’s what sheets and covers

Take a hike

Climb a tree

Keep going up until

Looks like an ant

Climb further

Apply for a job

But don’t get hired

Wear pajamas

to the store

Write a poem

Sing a song

Invite your friends

To sing along

Think about

Life for awhile
